BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) is hosting two free FastTrac® workshops: The Intentional Entrepreneur™ and Listening to Your Business™. Both workshops will be held in the Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD) at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard, in Fort Lauderdale. BMSD residents and business owners are encouraged to attend.

FastTrac ® The Intentional Entrepreneur™ will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM This workshop is designed to help guide participants through the process of new business consideration, exploration and planning. This interactive workshop provides tools to examine both the emotional and practical aspects of business ownership. During the session, participants will be able to:

  • Assess their entrepreneurial interests
  • Identify their personal and professional goals
  • Develop the action steps necessary to make business ownership a reality

FastTrac® Listening to Your Business™ will be held on Friday, August 5th from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM This workshop will guide participants through the process of reflection, visioning and planning as well as help business owners establish a three-year vision. During this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Examine their businesses with a strengths, weaknesses and opportunities model
  • Visualize their businesses three years in the future
  • Formulate internal planning processes to establish interim goals and strategies
  • Identify resources to assist in reaching business goals
  • Examine and respond to challenges and transitions
