BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The third installment of En Plane Air, a rotating exhibition of local student artwork at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), features art created by students ages 6-10 who attended summer camp at Roosevelt Gardens Park in the Broward Municipal Services District.

The students worked with teaching artist Toni Withaneye to create works about what they like about Florida.

"We started the project with limited background colors to ensure a pre-selected outcome. Each student shows their individuality by using variations of the colors," said teaching artist Toni Withaneye.

This new installment is a collaboration between Broward County's Aviation Department,
Parks and Recreation Division, Cultural Division and the Municipal Services District. It will be on view through December and is in the pre-security area, above the escalators in Terminal 2.

"It is an honor to support aspiring young artists like the children who helped bring 'Seeing Florida My Way' to the traveling public in our airport," said Mark Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation, Broward County Aviation Department. "Thanks to the partnership among our County agencies, 'En Plane Air' demonstrates just how creative children can be with the right inspiration and guidance."
