Cultural Division Staff Elected to National Board
  
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FL –Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Project Manager Christina Roldan has been elected as the President of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals. The organization is dedicated to the development, advocacy, promotion and education of the public art field in the State of Florida.

Joining the Cultural Division in April 2006 as Public Art & Design Project Manager for Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Roldan manages the airport’s public art consisting of 63 artworks and she has developed and managed the commissioning of 30 art projects. Recently completed projects include four large-scale integrated artworks commissioned for the newly built Concourse A including Wavelength by artist Emily White which was recently recognized as one of the most compelling public artworks of 2017 by the Americans for the Arts Public Art Network.   

Roldan has a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Miami and a Master of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy and Management.

Elected at the 2018 annual conference in Tampa, Roldan will lead the Board of Directors in the coming year – an apropos selection as the 2019 FAPAP Annual Conference will take place in Broward next May, hosted by Broward Cultural Division.
