Healthy Community Zone Wellness Jamboree Returns to Delevoe Park

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Broward Municipal Services District‘s 5th Annual Healthy Community Zone Wellness Jamboree will take place at the Reverend Samuel Delevoe Park, 2520 NW Sixth Street, on Saturday, October 26th, from 10AM-2PM.

The Jamboree is open to the public and will feature a variety of wellness activities such as health screenings, fitness workouts, and yoga instruction. A Kids Zone inflatable obstacle course will be a hit with the children as well as bicycle and helmet giveaways. More than 15 exhibitors will be on hand to introduce residents to a variety of health and wellness programs and services. Free lunch and refreshments will be available while supplies last.

The “Jamboree” educates BMSD residents of North and Central County and Broadview Park on available venues and wellness resources for staying healthy. Healthy Community Zone is a collaborative partnership in the BMSD area to focus on exposing communities to better food choices, exercise, and access to health services. The initiative includes establishing safe routes to schools, increasing pedestrian friendly public access to places and beautification of community areas.

Broward County Transit will run free shuttle buses to Delevoe Park from Sunview, Boulevard Gardens, Franklin, Lafayette Hart and Roosevelt Gardens Parks on the day of the Jamboree.
