- Lecture series kicks off with wild wildlife tales -
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Anne Kolb Nature Center (751 Sheridan St., Hollywood) launches the latest installment of its long-running Lunch-and-Learn Nature Series for Adults, consisting of three monthly lectures presented in the park’s Mangrove Hall, on January 10th. The lectures are from noon to 2PM on Fridays, and lunch is included.

Preregistration is required a week in advance, and a $10-per-person donation is requested for each lecture, to benefit the park’s volunteer group, the Friends of Anne Kolb. The first lecture is as follows:

  • Jan. 10th – “Travels of a Wildlife Explorer” – presented by Ron Magill of Zoo Miami, who will speak on his monarch butterfly expedition to Mexico, as well as his travels in Antarctica.

Future session topics are “Fairchild Garden’s Legacy of Exploration,” on February 7th, and “Managing Fish & Wildlife Reserves,” on March 13th.
