Theres Still Time to Adopt a Pet for Christmas

BROWARD COUNTY - Although most County Government offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, Broward County Animal Care and Adoption will be OPEN for individuals still looking for the perfect family gift – a furry friend. The adoption center at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale will be open from noon to 4PM for families and last minute shoppers to come by and adopt a dog or cat. Other services provided at the shelter will remain closed on December 24-25, and the Adoption Center will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25.

Staff will be on duty both days ensuring that all the animals at the shelter are fed, watered and carefully cared for over the holidays. The facility will resume normal operating hours on Thursday, December 26.
