BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Anne Kolb Nature Center (751 Sheridan St., Hollywood) continues the latest installment of its long-running Lunch-and-Learn Nature Series for Adults, consisting of three monthly lectures presented in the park’s Mangrove Hall, with a second presentation on February 7th. The lectures are from noon to 2PM on Fridays, and lunch is included. Preregistration is required a week in advance, and a $10-per-person donation is requested for each lecture, to benefit the park’s volunteer group, the Friends of Anne Kolb.

  • Feb. 7th – “Fairchild Garden’s Legacy of Exploration” – presented by Dr. Carl Lewis, director of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, who will speak on this well-known preserve’s rich history, present-day research, public programs, and distinctive flora.

The final session’s topic will be “Managing Fish & Wildlife Reserves,” on March 13th.
