Jammin' at Fern Forest - After Dark
  
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Once a month from October through May, Fern Forest Nature Center (201 Lyons Rd. South, Coconut Creek 33063; 954-357-5198) has for years hosted a free acoustic music session called Jammin,’ offered the second Sunday of the month from 2 to 4PM. In 2016, the program got a new name: the Dan Barrow Memorial Bluegrass Jam, in honor of one of the founders of Jammin’ back in the mid-1980s.

Along with the regular monthly jams, the nature center also hosts an evening event from time to time. Next month there will be a Twilight Jammin’ session, from 5 to 7PM on Sunday, February 23th.

The programs are for musicians and listeners interested in bluegrass, folk, and mountain music, with a special emphasis on bluegrass. You’re invited to bring an instrument and participate in the jam, or just enjoy the performance as a listener.
