Four Broward County Parks Partially Reopen and Continue as COVID-19 Testing

BROWARD COUNTY, FLBrian Piccolo Sports Park & Velodrome (9501 Sheridan St., Cooper City 33024), C.B. Smith Park (900 N Flamingo Rd., Pembroke Pines 33028), Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium (3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill 33311), and Quiet Waters Park (401 S Powerline Rd., Deerfield Beach 33442) will partially reopen facilities to the public as they continue to operate as COVID-19 Testing sites.

Starting Sunday, September 27th, both Central Broward and Quiet Waters parks will partially reopen to the public during their normal operating hours of 8AM to 7:30PM. Central Broward will open its natural trail that takes walkers, bikers, and joggers around the park’s lake. In addition, soccer fields will be available for use by reservation only. The stadium will remain closed. Quiet Waters will reopen Woofing Waters Dog Park & Marina, and offer boat rentals. Ski Rixen USA continues to be open. The basketball courts will be closed because of proximity to the testing site area, as will portions of the disc golf course.

On Monday, September 28th, Brian Piccolo and C.B. Smith parks reopen daily from 8AM to 7:30PM. Brian Piccolo will reopen the velodrome, basketball courts, and some athletic fields, which will be available by reservation only. C.B. Smith will be open for fishing, picnicking, grilling, tennis/racquetball, biking, and walking. The campgrounds will reopen on Monday, October 5th. AllGolf continues to be open.
