Landfill Temporarily Closed Due to Impacts from Tropical Storm

UPDATE: 9AM, 11/13 - It is anticipated that operations will resume on Wednesday, November 18 from 8AM-4PM.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Broward County Landfill, located at 7101 SW 205th Avenue (US 27 and Sheridan Street), will be closed today, November 12, 2020 due to impacts created by Tropical Storm Eta and subsequent rain. It is anticipated that operations will resume on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 8AM–4PM; however, please refer to website for the latest updates. 

The facility accepts bulk trash, construction and demolition material, yard waste, tires (rims less than 25 inches in diameter) and white goods (such as refrigerators and washing machines). Unacceptable waste includes household garbage/food waste, hazardous waste (such as used oil, pesticides, pool chemicals) and gasoline. Customers will need to provide a valid driver’s license for use.
