BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Animal Care and Libraries have partnered this summer to help support homeless pets. Now through August 21, donations of pet supplies will be accepted at six local libraries. Residents also have the option of contributing funds to Animal Care online

Donations of unopened dry and canned dog or cat food and kitten formula, along with non-clumping cat litter, are needed. Additional pet supplies such as collars and leashes, toys and grooming supplies are also welcome. The shelter is not in need of towels or bedding.

Broward County Library Director Allison Grubbs is enthusiastic about the joint venture, saying, “As an animal lover who has dogs and cats, I am pleased to have the Libraries Division take part for less fortunate animals.”

“We are very honored and excited to partner with our Libraries Division to show support for our dogs and cats,” said Emily Wood, Director, Broward County Animal Care. “Every donated item goes a long way to help us feed and care for our pets in need, so we welcome the community’s support and thank the Library staff for all of their dedication to our dogs and cats.”
