BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Has your kid ever asked you about those creepy little spiders that look like tiny crabs? For Halloween Eve, pack the youngsters off to Funtober Brings: Spiny Orb Weaver Haunts & Things, starting at noon on Saturday, October 30th, in the amphitheater at Fern Forest Nature Center (201 Lyons Rd. South, Coconut Creek 33063; 954-357-5198).
The program, designed for ages 10 and under accompanied by an adult, will provide a spooky lesson on spiny orb weaver spiders. Children will get their own information book to take home with them, along with a creepy crawler they make themselves.
The fee is $5 per child, and preregistration is required by calling the park at 954-357-5198.
