BROWARD COUNTY, FL -  Enjoy the roughly 247-acre preserve known as Fern Forest Nature Center (201 Lyons Rd. South, Coconut Creek 33063; 954-357-5198) when the park invites you to participate in Intro to Birding. Each session, from 9:30 to 10:30AM on the second Sunday of the month, will teach you basic bird-watching and identification skills while you explore the forest. The program, which costs $5/person, is for ages 12 and up. For further information, call Fern Forest at 954-357-5198. The next session is on Sunday, January 8th.
