Broward Artist Brings Contemporary Splendor to FLL

- Exhibition by Daniel Marosi on view in T2 through June 2023 -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), in partnership with the Broward Cultural Division, is proud to announce the latest Terminal 2 Art Gallery exhibit featuring artist Daniel Marosi, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Davie.

The exhibition, Evidence of Things Unseen, features work from Marosi's Rhema Series of text-based artworks that examine the relevance of Biblical instruction to contemporary values. Investigating the implicit authority of news, music and advertising to influence behaviors, Marosi paints short phrases in multiple layers, allowing them to become a visible meditation on the intangible substance of faith. These intriguing large-scale paintings welcome visitors to FLL and Broward County with their bold and colorful imagery.

"At FLL, we strive to enhance the passenger experience through a variety of art installations and exhibitions that are representative of our community and region. We want to offer something for everyone," said Mark Gale, FLL CEO/Director of Aviation.

Marosi's work has appeared at the Frost Art Museum, St. Thomas University, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and numerous international art fairs in Miami, New York, and London. He is on the College of Communication, Architecture, and the Arts faculty at Florida International University and is a resident artist at Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines.

"Broward Cultural Division is pleased to support the airport's rotating exhibitions by uplifting the work of local artists in our community," said Phil Dunlap, the Division's Director. "With millions of travelers each year, the exposure these artists receive at this busy international airport is a tremendous opportunity."

The Terminal 2 Art Gallery showcases the work of artists from Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties, and is located post-security where it encompasses the north and south passenger hold rooms serving seven of the airport's gates. Exhibitions rotate every six months. For information about the gallery, please email ArtFLL@broward.org.
