Special Olympics Little ELITES Flag Football

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Parks and Recreation Division's Special Populations Section and Special Olympics Florida will collaborate to offer Little ELITES, a developmental sports program for youths ages 6 to 12 with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Sessions will be on Fridays, from 6 to 7PM, starting January 20th and running through February 24th, at field #3 at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium (3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill 33311; 953-357-5400).

The program will focus on developing sport-specific skills for flag football, while encouraging peer cooperation and socialization. Consistent attendance is required, as each week's participants will learn new techniques that will build on skills they learned in the prior week's class.

The program is free, but class sizes are limited. Preregistration is required by calling 954-357-8170 or emailing SpecialPopulations@Broward.org.

Adherence to CDC guidelines for social distancing, hand sanitizing, and wearing facial coverings is recommended.
