BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Broward County Library (BCL) Teen Leadership Internship Program is offering local high school students summer internships from June 20 to August 4, 2023. The program, which is open to currently enrolled Broward high school students, offers positions at Main Library, Northwest Regional Library, South Regional/Broward College Library, Southwest Regional Library and West Regional Library. 

Participants in the Teen Leadership Internship Program will gain work experience, explore various career paths, make professional contacts and develop essential leadership and life skills. The free program also introduces teens to emerging technologies while teaching time management, communication, leadership, critical thinking and media literacy skills.

The projects that the interns work on during the internship program help develop abilities in robotics, music production, the arts, film production, coding, crafting, 3D printing and graphic design. All Teen Leadership interns will receive a $650 stipend after completion of the program. The deadline for application submission is March 17, 2023. 

Interested Broward high school students are encouraged to submit an application  and an original 200-500 word essay explaining how the summer internship aligns with the teen's academic or career goals.
