BROWARD COUNTY, FL - A beloved musical tradition
returns to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in
partnership with Broward County Public Schools.
The
35th Winter Festival of Music will run daily from December 4-8, 2023, from
9AM to Noon in designated terminal areas and the Rental Car Center. This
annual tradition will feature numerous live performances by more than 630
students from 14 Broward County elementary, middle, and high schools. Some of
the festivities will include bands, choirs, and dancers. During the week,
carolers will also be stationed in select terminals singing holiday favorites.
"We
love this partnership with Broward County Public Schools as it is a chance to spotlight the skills of young
students in our community while providing airport guests with some joyous
holiday spirit," said Mark E. Gale, FLL CEO/Director of Aviation. "Whether you
are a traveler or employee, we hope the Winter Festival of Music will bring a
smile to the many faces passing through FLL this holiday season."
The
music festival celebrates and supports local student musicians by giving them
an additional platform to showcase their talents. During this busy travel
period, it also provides an excellent experience for passengers who often
engage in performances and share countless memories on social media.
