Free Fifth Annual Library Literary Expo Held February 24th

- All-day event offers writing and publishing workshops

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Writers and readers come together for a day of free literary growth through "Tell Your Story 2024. It's Your Write!" from 10:30AM to 5:30PM on Saturday, February 24th at the North Regional/Broward College Library, 1100 Coconut Creek Boulevard, Coconut Creek, FL 33066, 954-201-2600.

As Broward County Libraries celebrates the 50th Anniversary of its founding in 1974, the North Regional/BC Library has themed its 5th annual edition, "Stories Inside and Outside of Broward County Library."

For 50 years the library has housed knowledge and stories for and about the community. This event brings together community authors to share their knowledge with community readers and writers through a variety of workshops.

This fifth annual signature event offers attendees over 20 free author-led workshops, industry insights and panel discussions aimed at adult and teen writers and those who love the written word.

Writers will meet published authors, enhance their writing skills and learn about the business of writing and publishing with tips from industry experts. Books will be available for purchase books from select authors.

Workshops at the event include The Vietnam War Era -- Fiction and Memoir, Introducing Local Author Resources from Broward County Library, Writing Your Family History in Poetry & Prose, Interviewing Your Characters, Creating Superhero-Worthy Main Characters, When One Door Closes, Building the Foundation of Your Story, This Writing Life, and many more.

"Tell Your Story 2024. It's Your Write!" is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. For additional information, contact Hayley St. John-Ayre at 954-201-2657 or HSTJOHNAYRE@broward.org.
