Air quality protection is a collaborative effort between federal, state and local governments, the regulated community, as well as the general public.
The Air Program strives to provide outreach for all residents in Broward County by:
- Communicating information and news related to the regional air quality to our communities
- Educating residents about proactive measures that can be taken to reduce air pollutants
- Promoting environmental stewardship
Our staff is on committees and advisory boards for various local, regional, and federal planning, transportation, communications, and health organizations as well as councils on issues related to alternative fuels, climate change, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas emission inventories.
