Dog Parks and Dog-Friendly Parks

*Effective January 1, 2024, the parks' regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $3/vehicle (for eight or less occupants) or $20/vehicle (for nine of more occupants) will be in effect.

Broward County Dog Parks (Leash-free areas.)

Both Barkham and Woofing Waters (open seasonally) require an annual/seasonal membership or daily fee, and are open during the park's normal operating hours unless otherwise specified. Proof of rabies vaccination is required and documentation must show the expiration date or administered date.

This 3.5-acre dog park offers separate areas for small and large dogs to run leash free and play on various pet structures. There are three pavilions with plenty of benches for dog owners to sit and converse with other dog owners. The small dog park is designed for dogs up to 25 pounds, while the large dog park is designated for all others. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.  Barkham is closed each Tuesday morning until 10AM for maintenance.

Operating hours are 8AM to 6PM daily. Woofing Waters closes seasonally.
Woofing Waters consists of approximately two acres in the northwest corner of Quiet Waters Park. The facility comprises two sections: one designated for larger dogs, the other for smaller dogs. Feature for the big dogs include a spray hydrant, a shower nozzle, an eight-nozzle line jet, and nearly 800 linear feet of hard-surfaced paths. Little dogs get a shower nozzle and an eight-nozzle line jet, as well as a ring, or water loop, where they can run through an assortment of sprays. Each section includes a dog-wash area, as well as doggie drinking-water fountains. The hounds' human companions can take shade under 20-foot umbrellas, relax on beaches and at picnic tables, and sip from water fountains to cool off. A building housing restrooms and concession operations serves the dog park.
 Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Open seasonally. ​

Dog-friendly Broward County Parks (Dogs must be on a non-retractable, six-foot leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in our nature centers or natural areas.)
