BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County
Main Library, located at 100 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, will now be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for customers seeking weekend library service in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Due to budget cuts and the recent window replacement project, the library had previously been open only Monday through Friday. Signs are posted at the entrances to Main Library to notify customers of the change in operation.

The Main Library's hours are as follows:
  • Mondays -10AM to 6PM
  • Tuesdays - Noon to 8PM
  • Wednesdays - Noon to 8PM
  • Thursdays - 10AM to 6PM
  • Fridays - 10AM to 6PM
  • Saturdays - 10AM to 6PM (NEW)

Additionally, the Creation Station at Main Library will also now offer extended hours. The Main Library Creation Station makerspace is a community center with tools that enable individuals to design, prototype and make 3D items. Makerspaces often include tools and equipment too expensive or specialized for most people to own, as well as provide a gathering place for like-minded hobbyists to create and collaborate.

The new, extended Creation Station Hours are as follows:
  • Mondays -11AM to 5PM
  • Tuesdays - 1 to 7PM
  • Wednesdays - 1 to 7PM
  • Thursdays - 11AM to 5PM
  • Fridays - 11AM to 3PM
  • Saturdays - 11AM to 3PM
