BROWARD COUNTY, FL - South Regional/Broward College Library, located at 7300 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines, FL 33024, will host the 6th Annual Tech-Fest on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 11AM to 4PM. The festival will highlight some of the latest in technology, including Broward County Library’s own 3D printer and Leap Motion as well as live demonstrations, a flight simulator from Broward College's Aviation Institute and more.
Check out a a droid from Miami Aerial, the University of Miami’s NAO humanoid robot and see robotic demonstrations presented by local high school robotics clubs. The Pembroke Pines Police Department's CSI Unit will be on hand to give a behind-the-scenes look at their work, as will the Broward Sheriff's Office's Bomb Squad and their specialized Bomb Squad robot. The event is free and open to the public.
South Regional/Broward College Library offers everything you need to keep up with technology, including free WIFI, access to computers and premium software, plus classes on everything from how to use your tablet to how to sell on eBay. It has over 80 computers available for public use, four printing stations and computer classes offered most days of the week.
Customers can also use BCL WoW - Broward County Library Without Walls to access materials and services 24/7.
