BROWARD COUNTY, FL Broward County Library's free 2015 Summer R.E.A.D.ing (Reading, Exploration, Art, Discovery) Program kicks off June 6, 2015 at 33 Broward County Library branches. Reading and learning give you the power to be anything you want to be! 

Getting involved is easy. Register for one of the Broward County Library's Summer R.E.A.D.ing games, record your reading, experience exciting programs and build powers to learn and grow.  Each of the Broward County Library locations listed below will feature different thrilling programs and activities for your super summer fun.  

Children and teens can participate in either the online enhanced program or at library locations countywide. This year will feature three different Summer R.E.A.Ding Programs:

-Preschool:  Every Hero Has a Story, goal: 50 books
-
Children:  Every Hero Has a Story, goal: 12 hours reading
-
Teen:  Unmask! Goal: 12 hours reading, 5 activities

The Summer R.E.A.D.ing Program is a fun way to encourage young people to read, explore and discover all summer long! Children ages 18 and under can register for the Summer R.E.A.D.ing Program and enter to win prizes and rewards.  The Summer R.E.A.D.ing Program is more than just prizes - it also includes a summer full of free programs, learning activities, story times, computer classes, family fun nights, entertaining shows and performances.  The Summer R.E.A.D.ing Program runs from June 6 through August 1, but everyone is invited to take the August Pledge and continue reading from August 1-15 for a chance to win more prizes.

Online Summer Learning Program

The Online Program makes it easy to record your reading. Visit the Summer R.E.A.D.ing Program online at Broward.org/Library/Read.  Every reader will have their own home page that lists their reading, challenges and awards.  Anyone can participate online.

Record your reading, programs and activities online.
-Pick up fun prizes and enter for a chance at grand prizes at your favorite library branch when you reach a reading goal.  No need to print your record - the program will show when you win a prize.
