Broward County Main Library Hosts Craftapalooza
  
- Free, hands-on creativity celebration for all ages -
  

Crafters, creators, art lovers and makers of all ages and skill levels are invited to Broward County Library's free Craftapalooza, an annual DIY (Do It Yourself) arts and crafts celebration scheduled from 1 to 5PM on Saturday, November 4 at Main Library, 100 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, 954-357-7444. 

Craftapalooza features a full day of fun, free workshops and classes with all supplies provided. Learn new craft skills, enjoy a DJ, balloon art inspired by the creations of artist Jeff Koons, face painting and other fun and creative activities.  

For shoppers, there will also be a marketplace for registered crafters to sell their creations. Food truck vendors will be on hand to sell meals and snacks.  

Youth Workshops
-Decorate Your Own Puzzle: Using markers and crayons, design a 24-piece puzzle 

-Create a Holiday Card: Using mixed media, create a holiday card (1 card per person) 
-Decorate a Paper Gingerbread Person: Use art supplies and color for holiday décor  
-Create Jewelry: Make a necklace or bracelet for the perfect holiday gift 

All-Ages DIY Art Workshops
-Make key chains, glass suncatchers and DIY vinyl record clocks
-Decorate a tote bag using Cricut screen printing machine 
-Live art-making public installation (1st floor) with Broward County art students

Attendance, art supplies, all workshops, face painting, balloon art, live performances and demonstrations are open to everyone free of charge through the generous sponsorship of the Friends of the Fort Lauderdale Libraries
