BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library and the Florida Panthers have partnered on a new Broward County Library card design that features the Florida Panthers ice hockey team. The vibrant new cards are available at 36  Broward County Library locations while supplies last, beginning December 15, 2023.

Quantities are limited and demand for this coveted, collectible card are expected to send the number of library cards in circulation past the current 1,400,000 Broward County Library cards in use. The card features the Florida Panthers logo imposed over a bold, striking design of red, yellow and blue graphic art.

"This impressive new library card gives us the opportunity to showcase one of South Florida's biggest attractions - the Florida Panthers," says Broward County Library Director Allison Grubbs. "We're proud to offer this card and are grateful to the Panthers for partnering with us, as they have done time and again."

The Florida Panthers have supported Broward County Library signature programs such as Summer Learning Program, including the Florida Panther Summer Reading Tour, Books 'n Bears at the Holidays, as well as often participating in many large events at various locations.

Obtaining a Broward County Library card is an easy process with endless rewards. New library customers can select this design at no charge when registering for their first card, and existing library card holders may switch their current card to a Panthers card, also at no charge.

The Florida Panthers organization and its players are strong advocates for Broward County Library. Funding for this project and associated events is provided by a grant from the Florida Panthers Foundation with additional support from the Broward Public Library Foundation.
