BROWARD COUNTY, FL - It's not too late to prepare for the 2014 Hurricane Season. If you haven't already thought about what you'll need to do to protect your family and your property if a tropical storm or hurricane is heading toward Florida, now is the time to do it. And Broward County has a great way for you to get prepared from the comfort of your own home.

Florida's
Division of Emergency Management, in partnership with Volunteer Florida and the Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies, presents the BRACE for the Storm Workshop for Broward County from 10 AM to Noon on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

This free, internet based workshop is designed to provide information to homeowners on how to reduce damage to their homes from hurricanes and other disasters that threaten South Florida.

In addition, homeowners can learn how they can save money on the windstorm portion of their homeowner's insurance premium.
