BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The planning team for Broward100 – Celebrating the Art of Community is inviting you to participate in a historic moment in Broward County. The public can take an online survey and suggest a name for the event that will be showcasing the extraordinary talent of Broward's visual and performing artists. Taking place in October 2015, this centennial grand finale will be the premiere of what will become Broward's annual signature trademark event. It’s an important name for an important time in history!

In the spirit of celebrating creativity, the grand finale will bring together the diverse talent that can be found in Broward through a countywide finale October 2-4, 2015. A team of Broward’s creative minds assembled to develop a unique approach to showcase our local talent in a series of performances. The grand finale will bring thousands of people together to celebrate Broward County’s 100th birthday through art, culture and entertainment. It will also launch an annual signature event to showcase the talent of Broward County, create global connections and set the stage for the next 100 years.

Through a unique partnership among Broward Cultural Division, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Community Foundation of Broward, Broward 100 will commemorate the centennial with bold, innovative art and performance projects that attract visitors and bring Broward residents together using our arts, sports and recreation venues, natural attractions and incredible diversity to creatively bridge, bond and build their communities.

The yearlong celebration will be framed by four distinct cornerstones of community engagement: VisualEYES, Inside Out Broward, Calendar 100 and a Grand Finale.
