BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15th through October 15th, brings a wealth of fun, free events and experiences at Broward County Library. Here are five great ways to celebrate:

). Learn Spanish – for free! Download the library’s free Byki Mobile (Community Edition) app, a fun and addictive way to learn a language. It locks words and phrases into your memory, tracks your learning progress and lets you test your knowledge with quizzes. To download,  visit BCL – WoW (Without Walls) on the library’s home page. You can also go online with your Broward County Library card to get language instruction from Transparent Language Online .

). Explore the Library's collection of Spanish-language materials - including movies, music, books, eBooks and more - in person at one of BCL's 39 locations or via the Library's online catalog.

). View art from Hispanic and Latin American artists at free art exhibitions at libraries countywide. Check out the Dwelling Projects exhibition, To Puerto Rico and Back! At Main Library; ¡Celebra el Mes de Hispanidad! The History and the Culture - Paintings by Colombian Artist Jesus Galindo at the Miramar Branch Library & Education Center; an exhibit by Cuban artist Gonzalo Borges at the Pembroke Pines Library; and art by the students of El Taller Art Space and Paintings by Evelyn Miranda at the Southwest Regional Library.

). Read and eRead books and magazines by Hispanic authors. Need ideas? The following Broward County Library locations will have great displays of books for Hispanic Heritage Month that you can check out: Hallandale Beach Library; ¡Celebra el Mes de Hispanidad! The History and the Culture, Miramar Branch Library & Education Center; South Regional/Broward College Library; Stirling Road Library; Weston Library.
