BROWARD COUNTY, FL -- In what is possibly the most impressive milestone to accomplish -- turning 100 years old, whether you're a human being, a county, a mom-and-pop shop or a major enterprise - is a major feat in life.
That is why Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community seeks to honor Broward County residents who are 100 years or older at its yearlong celebration from October 2014 through October 2015. They will be recognized as a Centennial Citizen.
In addition, Broward-based businesses that have reached its 100th year by 2015 will receive recognition as a Centennial Business.
To qualify, the Centennial Citizen must be 100 years old by October 2015 and reside in Broward County. The same goes for the Centennial Business prestige.
