BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Celebrate Women's History Month with Broward County Libraries with a host of free events for all ages. Woman's History Month is celebrated in March and was first proclaimed by President Jimmy Carter in February 1980. In the proclamation, President Carter asked "my fellow Americans to recognize this heritage with appropriate activities during Women's History Month." The National Women's History Month theme for 2015 is "Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives."
