BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward Cultural Division is proud to be a sponsor of the inaugural South Florida Chillounge Night, the ultimate outdoor lounge party that will bring its chic and stylish ambiance to Huizenga Plaza on Saturday, February 6th from 6 - 11PM. Chillounge Night offers an evening full of wonderful entertainment with fine food and drinks under the stars, in this unique opportunity to mix and mingle with friends while enjoying a wide range of visual and musical performances. Broward artists Carrie Bennett, Mabel Vittini and Yoshiko Carlton (Friends of Koto) have been commissioned through Broward Cultural Division to perform in addition to other artists.
"We jumped at the opportunity to be involved in this obviously, unique event that has already had so much success in other Florida cities, and we feel it is a perfect fit for Fort Lauderdale and Broward County," says Earl Bosworth, Broward Cultural Division Director. "Opening doors for local artists to perform in great venues is part of our expanded vision, going forward."
The evening will showcase live Japanese music (Yoshiko Carlton (Friends of Koto) and two visual artists (chalk artist Carrie Bennett, painter Mabel Vittini ) as part of the local entertainment; as well as a dazzling fashion show along with a captivating daybed parade, the colorful and sensual Phoebe Vecchioni Samba Troupe as featured in "America's Got Talent," Chillounge Night will bring the graceful AeroSphere Arial Balloon Performance from Nock Productions hovering over the Plaza; also performing will be Karina Iglesia and the Nu Thang and Eloquence the Band.
With hundreds of fashionable daybeds, cabanas and outdoor furnishings, Huizenga Plaza will be transformed into an intimate and majestic setting for thousands to enjoy a festive evening of food, drink and entertainment.... ideal for the ultimate outdoor lounge party.
The event is captured live and broadcast onto a large state of the art LED Wall using HD Video Streaming making the performances and the audience come alive no matter where you sit at this spectacular event. Additionally, to get the most out of their Chillounge experience, organizers invite the audience to record and share their own vibes on FRUIO, a free mobile video app available in iOS and Android, an online platform that showcases the hottest local happenings.

Sarasota resident and former gallery owner Rainer Scheer II is the creator of the upscale event. "I am always looking to create a magical evening that is unique, elegant and stylish," says Scheer. "Huizenga Plaza and the neighboring Las Olas Blvd. and waterfront communities provide a majestic atmosphere and will all come together to provide a night everyone will remember."
