#Destination Fridays - Haiti at AARLCC

BROWARD COUNTY, FLMay is Haitian Heritage Month, and we're celebrating with a special #DestinationFridays - Haiti, scheduled for Friday, May 3, 2019, from 6:30-9:30PM at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, 954-357-6282.

#DestinationFridays - Haiti will be an unforgettable evening of culture featuring Kompa dance and music. Kompa (or (Compas) is one of Haiti's most popular dance and musical genres. Haitian griot will be served along with the evening's signature drink, "The Ayiti Pearl." Guests are encouraged to dress in red, blue and white and join us as we experience and celebrate the culture and magic of Haiti, the “Pearl of the Antilles."”

Tickets for this age-21-and-up event are $10, which includes food, two drinks, gated parking and fun. Purchase tickets at the door (cash only) or online at Eventbrite.
