The purpose of this project is to alleviate flooding conditions by adding new pipe lines and replacing deteriorated drainage structures. Construction activities include: excavating, installing pipes and structures, restoring damaged pavement, and adding missing sidewalk.
During construction, the eastbound pick-up/drop-off auxiliary lane will be closed, but access will be maintained to all driveways and side streets. Additionally, for a period of two weeks, eastbound and westbound through lanes on NE 56th Street will be temporary closed except for local traffic, and vehicles will be temporarily detoured to NE 56th Court.
Variable message signs will be posted to warn affected motorists and pedestrians.
