Sidewalk Repairs Scheduled in Coconut Creek and Deerfield Beach

- Work along Wiles Road begins July 19 -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be performing sidewalk repairs along Wiles Road between State Road 7 (SR-441) and Powerline Road in Coconut Creek and Deerfield Beach (see attached map below). The project will begin on July 19, 2021 and will conclude in December 2021, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

The purpose of the project is to repair broken sidewalks and perform Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades to the pedestrian infrastructure. To minimize construction impacts to the nearby Monarch High School, most of the work within the school zone will be completed during the school summer break. During construction, at least one lane in each direction of Wiles Road will be open to traffic; temporary lane closures will be limited to non-peak traffic hours (9AM to 4PM); and access to businesses and driveways will be maintained. Signs will be posted to warn motorists and pedestrians.

Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division can be reached at 954-357-6040. Project Manager, Stanley Bateman, can be reached at 954-647-6490 or SBateman@broward.org.

Broward County appreciates your patience as we complete this necessary roadway maintenance project.
