BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Highway Construction and
Engineering Division will be performing roadway improvements at the intersection
of Rock Island Road and Southgate Boulevard in Margate (refer to attached map).
The project will begin on November 29, 2021 and will conclude in March 2022,
barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.
Project details include:
- Upgrade of existing traffic signals to steel mast arms
- Pavement milling and resurfacing
- Installation of roadway signs and pavement markings
- ADA compliant pedestrian crosswalks and signals
- Reconstruction of curbs and sidewalk approaches
During construction, contractor personnel & inspection
staff will work closely with residents and businesses in the construction area
to minimize impacts caused by the project.
