BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be performing drainage system cleaning, inspection and point repair along Sunrise Boulevard from Sawgrass Corporate Parkway to North Flamingo Road in Sunrise (see attached map). This work, funded by the gas tax, is expected to start on June 5, 2023, and will conclude in November 2023, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays. Traffic Control: - During construction along Sunrise Boulevard, a single-thru/turning lane will be closed to vehicular traffic during off-peak traffic hours from 9AM to 4PM, leaving at least two adjacent lanes open.
- At the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and NW 136th Avenue, turning lanes in all four quadrants of the intersection and inside thru lane of North Bound & South Bound of NW 136th Avenue, as well as West Bound of Sunrise Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic during off-peak traffic hours from 9AM to 4 PM.
- Access to businesses and sidewalks will be maintained.
- Signs will be posted to advise affected motorists and pedestrians.
