BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Highway Construction and
Engineering Division will begin an intersection improvement project at North
Andrews Avenue and Northeast 26th Street in Wilton Manors (refer to attached map). Work starts Monday, April
15 and will conclude in December 2024, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays. This project is funded by the state gas tax and
will include:
- Converting the existing traffic signal system to a mast arm
supported traffic signal system.
- Adding a new crosswalk at the northern leg of the intersection
with new curb ramps and pedestrian signals.
- Milling and re-surfacing asphalt pavement and upgrading
pedestrian ramps, signage and pavement markings to current standards.
During construction, contractor personnel and inspection staff
will work closely with residents and businesses in the construction area to
minimize impacts caused by the project.
